GRADUATION CEREMONY 2023

The most important academic event of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing is the Annual Graduation Ceremony. This grand ceremony is organized to award certificates for those students who successfully complete graduate and postgraduate level qualifications offered by SLIM.

Students who successfully complete the examinations of,

  • Master of Business Administration in Marketing (MBA), UK
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDIPMM - SL)
  • National Diploma in Sales Management (NDSM)
  • Diploma in Strategic Brand Management (DSBM)
  • Diploma In Digital Marketing (DDM)

will receive their certificates at the ceremony while the status of Practicing Marketer (SL) and Fellow membership would be awarded to selected SLIM members as approved by the Exco and those who have contributed to the marketing profession or nation through the profession of marketing.

The best students of Master of Business Administration in Marketing, Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management, National Diploma in Sales Management, Diploma in Strategic Brand Management and Diploma in Digital Marketing will receive special certificates, Medals and Plaques in recognition of their academic excellence.

GRADUATION DAY

Date : 24th November 2023 (Friday)

Time : 09.00AM – 1.00PM (Graduates takes their seats at 08.30AM) Late commers will not be entertained

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDIPMM - SL)
  • Diploma in Strategic Brand Management (DSBM)
  • National Diploma in Sales Management (NDSM)
  • Diploma In Digital Marketing (DDM)

Venue : Main Conference Hall – BMICH - Colombo

Dress Code : All Graduands are requested to observe the following Dress Code for the Graduation Ceremony: Graduands are advised to be properly attired as befits the occasion. Please observe the following dress code:

  • Dark colored lounge suit with a matching tie for gents. (Preferred White Shirt with SLIM / Blue Tie)
  • Saree for ladies (Preferred a Blue Saree)
  • Dark colored shoes so that it harmonizes with the academic dress.

Fee : Please note that an administrative and a processing fee (Non-refundable/Non-transferable) of LKR 15,000 is required to pay along with the participation confirmation form on or before 12th November 2023.

Cloak & Hat : You are required to make a refundable payment of LKR 7,000/- and collect your Graduation Cloak and Hat from your relevant location from 06th November to 12th November 2023. Cloaks and hats will not be given after the deadline under any circumstance. You can make the payment to the below locations;

  • SLIM Business School – Matara

  • 11.00 am to 01.00 pm – Diploma in Digital Marketing
  • 01.30 pm to 02.30 pm – National Diploma in Sales Management

Matara Session:

Dates : 11th November (Saturday), 12th November (Sunday)

Venue : SLIM Business School Matara – No 213,01st Floor, Anagarika Dharmapala MW Matara

Time :

  • 9.00 am to 11.00 am - Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management
  • 11.00 am to 01.00 pm – Diploma in Digital Marketing
  • 01.30 pm to 02.30 pm – National Diploma in Sales Management

Cloak & Hat: You will be provided a Cloak and hat to be appeared in the group photograph on that day.

Important:

  • All students are expected to be present for the group photograph on the above-mentioned dates in ceremony attire.
  • If you are absent for the group photograph on the above dates, SLIM will not take any responsibility to include your photograph to the group photograph.

Confirmation

All students are required to confirm their participation for the Graduation Ceremony by filling the confirmation sheet on or before 12th November 2023. You can make the payments/confirmation to relevant SLIM Business School.

Important :

  • Please do not email or WhatsApp the graduation confirmation sheet or the payment directly to SLIM. All students are expected to visit above locations during the given timelines.

Special Note:

  • No cameras will be allowed inside the hall and mobiles should be on silent
  • Please note that leaving the premises before conclusion of the ceremony is strictly Prohibited
  • Please note that only visitors who have purchased a ticket by paying LKR 5,000/= will be permitted to enter into the BMICH Main Hall and will be accommodated in the balcony of the Main Hall
  • SLIM has made arrangements to live stream the event via SLIM Facebook page to witness the ceremony
  • Please note that all students must be in their seats before 8.30 am
  • Late attendees will not be permitted under any circumstances
