THE CERTIFICATION CEREMONY - 2026

The most significant academic event of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) is the Annual Certification Ceremony. This prestigious occasion is organized to award certificates to students who have successfully completed the certificate programmes offered by SLIM.

Eligible Programmes
Students who have successfully completed the following programmes are eligible to participate in the Certification Ceremony:

  • Professional Certificate in Marketing (English)
  • Professional Certificate in Marketing (Sinhala)
  • Professional Certificate in Marketing (Tamil)
  • Certificate in Digital Marketing (CDM)
  • Business and Professional English (BPE)
  • Certificate in Pharmaceutical Marketing

Academic Excellence Awards
The Best Students of the following programmes will receive Special Certificates, Medals, and Plaques in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements:

  • Professional Certificate in Marketing (English)
  • Professional Certificate in Marketing (Sinhala)
  • Professional Certificate in Marketing (Tamil)
  • Certificate in Digital Marketing
  • Business and Professional English
  • Certificate in Pharmaceutical Marketing

CERTIFICATION DAY

Date : 02 August 2026 (Sunday)

Time : 10.00 a.m. onwards (Certificate Holders are required to be seated by 9.00 a.m. ) Late arrivals will not be entertained under any circumstances

Venue : Main Conference Hall, BMICH, Colombo

Dress Code : All certificate holders are requested to be appropriately attired for this formal occasion and to adhere to the following dress code:

  • Gentlemen - Dark-coloured lounge suit with a matching tie ( White shirt is preferred , Dark-coloured formal shoes )
  • Ladies - Saree (Appropriate formal footwear)

SEATING ARRANGEMENT

CERTIFICATION PACKAGE

Participants will be entitled to the following:

  • Digital Copy of the Certification Souvenir
  • Refreshments during the Ceremony

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  • Cameras will not be permitted inside the hall.
  • Mobile phones must be switched off or kept on silent mode throughout the ceremony.
  • Leaving the premises before the conclusion of the ceremony is strictly prohibited.
  • SLIM will live-stream the ceremony via the official SLIM Facebook page for those who wish to witness the event remotely.
  • All students must be seated before 9.00 a.m.
  • Late attendees will not be permitted under any circumstances.
  • Students who have already collected their certificates are not eligible to participate in the ceremony.
  • Students are strongly advised to arrive on time to avoid any inconvenience.
